don't know what this is in the head

Anyone know what that thing is in the head between the cams on the side opposite the pulleys? Its that thing wuth three bolts in it right above the studs for the therm. housing. Just wondering.

thats your oil distrabution block, it splits the oil to the lifters and cams.
