I blew up my 93 eclipse gs so im putting a jdm in it. I have a few questions though. I need a service manual and was going to buy a haynes or chiltons but i heard they dont have the torque settings?? Is this true? If so im gettin a manual from a dealer so i can get the torque settings. I also plan on keeping my old block and boring it out and building it for BOOST! Any recommendations on how big i should go? Dont know much about rebuilding so any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Your n/t had a non-turbo 4g63 I assume. Personally I wouldn't worry about the whole JDM thing I would honestly just pickup a used 6bolt USDM engine and buy a big16g/injectors or whatever else you want and install it. The only real big diff on a JDM engine is the Intake Manifold because of the butterflies and that by itself wouldn't convince me to buy one.

Compare prices of a USDM 6bolt installed with a JDM engine installed and if the USDM engine is alot cheaper I would honestly consider jumping on it.

To answer your original question tho I don't think my chiltons has torque settings in it either. :|

yes its a nt...the only reason im going jdm is im gettin it for 600 bucks complete engine...which is probably cheaper than what i can get a usdm engine for and i havent found any around where i live anyways. as far as the intake manifold, i may end up puttin the usdm one off my old engine anyways:shhh:
