I picked up some dual piston calipers, and I plan on doing the conversion. Everything looks pretty straight forward. Do the rears need converting as well? Or do most people leave the rear alone? :dsm:

i think anyone thats tuning on a budget should do this upgrade if they haven't already! heres my recent GSX brake upgrade with SS lines included... im very impressed with my stopping power, definitely a noticeable difference! :rocks:

For 1G its pretty straight forward, installing it. You might come across with little fitting issue with the dust/debris shield but that's not much of a problem.

The 1g and 2g are both simple bolt ons. All you have to worry about is whether or not you get the right calipers for your brake hose style.

Just FYI. With fresh ceramic brakes and the new SS lines and GSX calipers, Corey's car felt a lot like my EVO9 when brakeing. The evo can brake for a lot longer a lot more times before fadeing, but there is definatly impressive stopping power on the GST now.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead, but my friend has a set I am planning on buying from him and they don't come with the brackets. He says I don't need them but I have searched and people say I do need the brackets. Is there a difference? He just put a set on his 90 AWD he said he didn't need brackets. The set he is selling are going on my 91 GST.

Thanks.

I did mine last year and you DEFINATELY need the brackets!

I also went w/new rotors from an AWD. They are a little bigger.
