I'm not 100% familiar with the t25, but that looks like one. And for anyone to lie about it and say it was a t25 when it wasn't would be rediculous. That is like the worst dsm turbo you could find. So I'd be confident it was a t25.

worst??!? ok so i dont know much about turbos but mine is blown (14b) whats a good upgrade to go with ?? something not too small but that i can bolt on

As far as I can tell, it's a T25 and yes it will bolt up to a stock 1g/2g manifold ... as far as the oil lines, you can always fab :thumb:

A good alterantive to your 14b would be a 16g ... direct bolt on

Yhea it looks like the t-25 ,I have one on now until I finish my break in then its the evo III. Man I tell you they arnt bad little turbos mine is great for as small as it is. So if your not looking to spend the money and you want something for now and you dont drag your dsm use it! My car hasnt been touched by s##t and my city is full of imports that cant touch me!

im thinking about goin with a big 16g or even a 20g....both bolt up to the stock exhaust manifold right?

o and an off topic question. does anyone know how to disable the autolocking feature on our cars? (92tsi) or is it the alarm thats on there doin it

Yhea a downgrade true from the 14b, but what are your goals and do you have or need a bigger turbo thats all im saying.

Not a bad turbo at all, all of us who drove a 2g for the first time fell in love with that small snail, yes verry samall turbo and it has no power at all up top but most of us Have had good times with that turbo. Definitely a down grade from a 14b. What you are showing on the pics its a t25 a beat up t25 to be exact, be sure of what you want I dont think you want a t25 though, and if you dont know much about turbos try to get 16g before you get a 20g until you're familar with turbos. Lets learn how to walk before start to run. :thumb:

If you want easy bolt up and 550cfm, nearly the same as a big 16G, then get a big T28. Or if you have a good deal on that T25 you posted, send it in to AGP to get the internals swapped to T28 and ported. I'm very happy with how my T28 pulls, but I do want to upgrade to 50trim now and take advantage of my mods. ;)

Like fredom dsm stated before you should familiarize yourself with turbo systems before you go big ... stick with the 16g first ;)

Yes, both will bolt right up to the stock 1g/2g/EVOIII exhaust manifolds.

As far as I'm aware, there is no factory auto-lock feature on 1g's (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) ... After reading some threads dealing with auto-locks, it usually ends up being that it's an aftermarket alarm doing it ;) Check this thread out.
