im in a desperate need of a new engine, i have a 96 gst, no matter what i do theres bubbles in my coolant and now its all brown and glittery, i poured my oil out and its clean, no glittery oil at all, im not sure what else to do, im pretty sure something is wrong internally and the last thing i want to do is to sell the car. ive done a headgasket change, new valve seals, and a new water pump.

im fairly new to the dsm community or even modding cars in general, this is my first car and im already attached to it so it makes me pretty emotional thinking about selling it.
so please if anyone has an engine available around indiana or the surrounding states, i would be happy to take it off your hands.

Is the only symptom bad looking coolant?
Flush the coolant system.

Is the car doing anything unusual?
i know i can flush the system, which i will pretty soon, but im still stuck on why theres bubbles in the coolant when i take off the radiator cap.

previously before the headgasket change it was overheating, and now afterwards it wont go past the center on the temp gauge which is good, but i dont know, i thought maybe the bubbles could be part of the reason as to why it was overheating in the first place, and there still here so im pretty lost at the moment

Run us through what you did. Did you have the head machined? How did you clean the block? What have you diagnosed? What head bolts did you use? Any other maintenance? You need to diagnose the problem before saying "I need a new engine".
There are 11 coolant hoses on a 2g turbo 4g63 so you imagine the number of places a problem can arise.
More info please.

This statement here causes more problems than it solves. "Pretty sure" is not objective. True you cant know everything but what we do know is oil appears to be clean. Thats better than if it was full of glitter. Don't give up just yet.
