After I had to take off my timing belt to replace my water pump by rpm’s have been off when im idle. when I’m in drive they’re at around 400 to 500 and will sometimes be at 200 but in park they’ll be at 1000 to 1100 and sometimes 800 so ive been running a higher idle at 900 drive and 1600 park and noticed my idle screw thing that messes with rpms is getting messed up so I was wondering if I could safely buy a performance intake manifold to use instead of my stock one without needing a tune ? And if anyone has any suggestions for the unstable idle please tell me. I was also thinking maybe it’s because the timing needs to be a little advanced or behind instead of right on any suggestions on timing? And is it cool to use a performance intake manifold without a tune? And if so any suggestions on a manifold?
