do i need to get a fork when buying a clutch?

I'm getting a SPEC Stage 2+ and I'm curious about clutch forks and extended slave rods.

Are these a requirement?
If my fork looks ok can I reuse it?
How do I know if I need a slave rod extension?

If the car has a lot of mileage on it, I would just buy myself the piece of mind and change it.

I usually just put a washer under the pivot ball.

In my opinion, if your changing the clutch why not go all the way and just buy a new fork, pivot ball, and throw out bearing.

I would go with gridlyne on this one. Though not absolutely necessary if you’re doing it, do it once. I bought my car with a act 2100 and who ever installed it reused the throw out bearing and now its toast. Why go through the hassle of having to rip things apart again, when you can just get it all done the first time. (Has given me the excuse to put in a 2600 and a lightweight flywheel though )

Just make sure you greese the fork PLENTY good. As for the TOB, when i replaced my clutch a few months back i just went to the dealer and just ordered an OEM TOB and it works just fine.

Like everyone is saying if your vehicle has alot of miles and if you got a few extra bucks just order a new pivot, and fork, and of course an OEM TOB. Hope this helps out.

tob isn't an issue. almost all clutches come with new ones and the Spec tob's are of good quality.

If the fork aint bent or showing signs of wear I'll just make sure it gets greased up like mad then. This is already costing me over a grand I really can't afford it if I don't have to do it (but I will if I have to). The car has 84k.
