do i need a new clutch???

every time i shift into reverse it seems like the clutch doesnt engage fully. and it makes that awful sound of metal grinding
and when i shift into first to start off it gets really hard and u kinda have to force it into first.
so do i need a new clutch or something

Check your slave/master for leaks, re-bleed the system and adjust the clutch pedal.

well I've owned the car for the past 3 months and it started doing this like 1 week ago

Do this first, and if this doesn't work to fix the probelm then your trans could use a rebuild.

Try holding the clutch in, put the gear in 4th and then reverse with the clutch still pressed it, does it still make the grinding noise?

Follow the instructions in the clutch adjustment video at this link, and see if it helps. You may need to replace your clutch master, and slave cylinders. Transmission Videos
