Disabling the key reminder

Ok,

I tried to search the subject but didn't find any answers. The "problem" is the annoying beep when you have your keys in and the door is open. Is there anyway to disable this infernal beeping? It drives me crazy while I'm working on something.

If im working on my car with the door open and I dont want the battery going dead I take a screwdriver and unscrew the door pin switches. That will make the dome light and key beeper stop. I always screw them back in when im done.

Yes, that screw actually grounds the switch to the body. I noticed the sparks when I was taking it off one time to fix it.

If you really want it done away with, it's one wire coming off the ignition switch. I think I know which one it is, but I'm not posting the guess. The right way to disable it would be to take apart the connector and pull that terminal out and tape it off.
