ok i replaced the pcv or pvc valve. The whole motor is good i did comp test and leak down. All good. And i have a oil catch can between the pvc valve and the intake manifold.

Anything else i can be? should i just crimp it so it doesnt do this anymore

Isn't the catch can supposed to be between the valve cover vent and turbo inlet tube just after the maf?

You can have two catch cans. His line-up is the main one which is correct which is for when the turbo isn't in use, like highway driving (plus, this one does most of the job in separating the oil from the vapors), but you can have the other one between cover and the turbo inlet which is when the turbo is engaged since the PCV valve is closed when system is under boost and vapors head to the inlet tube from the head.

If that stick is popping out like that, I'm wondering if there is tonnage of blowby where compression rings are tired.

ok same problem I had now fixed. i had catch can and installed between pvc and intake. worked good for awhile till i stared smoking on deceleration. popping out the dip stick. returned pvc to stock and placed catch can between valve cover and pre turbo intake. smoked much worse under boost and deceleration. i took catch can out of car and vented valve cover with hose and small air filter hanging down by the transmission. no more smoke and no more popping out the dipstick. if you want to do it right as venting the valve cover tends to make you run rich look up oversizing the valve cover fittings and installing check valves for your catch can(s).

How would venting the oil vapors from the valve cover with one of those small mesh filters make the car run rich?:hmm:

X2 I have 2 3/8ths fittings weled into my valve cover that are ran to a catch can plus the stock pcv and it works great

The leak down should tell him if hes got blow by though... My dipstick also popped out, and it was from bad seals on the stick its self. Mine was an easy fix.

If his compression and leak down tests were good, and he replaced the PCV, this could very well be his issue.

I wouldnt crimp the dipstick tube or put a spring on it till I was sure it wasnt excessive crank case pressure.

How far out is the dipstick sticking? (1/4 inch or more?)
