Ok i searched on this problem im having here. I was drivng kind of hard the other day and I started to see fluid on my windshield, because of the hood vent also so I stopped. I opened the hood and there was oil all over the place, Also my girlfriend had oil on her windshield but she was behind me. The motor is fairly new less than 3000 miles on it.

It was a stock rebuild as far as pistons and rods go. the balance shafts were removed and you can see all other mods on my profile. The car at idle holds vaccum at 21hg. the pcv valve is new from mitsubishi. The vaccum hose that comes off the pcv is connected to the intake manifold and the one off of the breather is connected to the intake. So that should elminate the most common problems that are there.

What all was replaced in the motor? Could be blow-by from the piston rings either not being set correctly, or incorrectly gapped.

New pistons and rings bored .20 over stock thats the main thing really that was replaced, No I got a new head also and 3 angle valve job new valve guide seals. oil pump, also new front case

This is also the first time this has ever happened with this motor. The only other thing that has been done to it recently was that we set the base timing. so it has power now.

Your PCV valve is probably leaking allowing crankcase to become pressurized under boost. Even alot of the brand new oem ones are known to do this. To test unscrew PCV from valve cover but leave the vacuum hose hooked to it. Pressurize system (boost leak test) and check for air getting past it.

No i had one but had to many problems with it so its electronic now, The oil pressure gauge does bounce around like crazy, I talked to the machine shop and they said that sometimes they will do this when there is a lot of oil pressure, there is a release vavle that opens and shuts to keep the pressure at 75-78 psi

So if this is the problem what else can i do to prevent this from happening? there really isn't alot of space from the PCV to the intake manifold

replace that PCV with a barbed fitting, and get a check valve from US plastics.
There is a link to the site in the " stupid pcv valve post".
Sorry I would link it but I'm on my iPhone.

O, be Shure to buy like 3 or more.
incase yours breaks and so you can sellem to your friends.
I ended up installing 4 of them on ppl's vehicals, sold them for 3$ each.

I wouldn't replace the PCV with a fitting. The snorkel part of the PCV valve seems to help meter air and keep oil from getting sucked into the intake manifold. Add an inline check valve between the PCV and IM. I have been using this for a couple years now and it works perfectly. It allows full vacuum/suction but completely blocks any boost past it. It fits the vacuum hose perfect. Just cut and insert inline with PCV.
