So I've been trying to build this engine for a while now and i just keep having set back after setback. Came late, main bearings were loose in package and scratched to hell, and now the oil rings are way to big to fit on the piston. I'm just wondering (before i chew there asses out tomorrow) if there happen to be different oil rings for the later 2g years. They do list two different kits 95-97 & 98-99 which i thought was weird.

yeah man that is weird because 95-99 4g63 engines all use the same size piston rings in the stock form. possibly they sent you non turbo 2.4l piston rings which would be a little bigger

Well i called the company and they said the rings they sent me should have worked so they looked up another vender and they listed a different part number. The other part number ended up working. So i guess theres no difference, just another bad part number
