What are all of the differences of the early and late 1995 talons/eclipses? All still have eprom ecus correct? Thanks, Nick.

The goddam POS lumbar adjustment thing on the early (aug94) 95's is different. Its not a 1G or mid-late 95 part. Mines missing the center piece form the last owner and its impossible to find another one....ahhh I feel better now.

Never thought their where that many differences between 95's, even so I think 95's
are a majority DSM over any 2G's

I didn't know about the door panels or the seat. Whats exactly is different?

My early 95 has the larger rear vented brakes, and the has the vent under the steering wheel. I'd be curious what else is different.

Early 95s had vented rear disc rotors, vent under the driver lower dash, a security key you had to insert, different cloth/leather patterns, early to mid 95s came with EPROM ecus, and the turbo 'silencer' box on the LICP.

A security key? Which side? I'll have to look at mine and see if its there.

I think I've read that the early 95 will say DSM on the firewall plaque but I have not confirmed this yet with a late 95.

I also found the seat difference. There's an adjustment on the black turning knob thats in the center so it has two functions. The middle center knob adjusts so the seat sides can hug your side better. I never knew it until I looked last night. My 99 GSX does not have this feature.

I'm starting to like my early 95 more and more. :)

Are those the only differences with the 95's? I have seen on a few websites like ExtremePSI.com that they list 2 different hydraulic timing belt adjusters. One for early 95 and one for late 95. Is there something different with the adjusters?

I have both an early 95' and a late 95' awd Talon. The doors panels are differest with the early 95 having bigger door pockets almost 3 times as wide. The hydraulic tensioner is different for the early 95 plus alot more. It's surprising how much they changed and how little info there is on this.

I have had a battle of a time getting front cv boots for mine. Ended up getting boots from a 94 that fit. Anyone know if there is actually a difference between front axles on the 95's? Im going to be needing axles soon i think. LOL...cant see myself being to nice to them with the fp3065 on there now.

My first Talon was a '95, and had a security key. I was told that the previous owner added it, though. My '96 Talon has the vent under the driver's side lower dash, and had the silencer box, so those items made it at least another year. Don't know the exact build date on either of my cars offhand.

By '96 it says Mitsubishi (at least mine does).

*** Is that silencer box connected to any sensors!?

*** Agreed!! I love that feature I'm always setting it differently depending on my driving patter that day, I also love the memory recliner adjustment :thumb:

My build date was Sept 94 and it does have the DSM plaque like shown above. I believe my totaled 95 did not have "DSM" on the firewall plate.

My door panel on the early 95 does have the larger pocket that goes along most of the door.

I also have the original window sticker to my early 95 which I'd like to scan. Total MSRP was $24,412. It came with all options including the keyless security system but did not find any box under the dash. Final assembly point was Normal, IL.

along with gsxtasy, the pre 95 builds have diffrent door glass and mounting. the window regulator is diffrent as well. On my firewall its stamped 94.8.1 with the DSM stiker, i need a new one :D
