Difference between '95 and '96 GSX

I am really sorry if this had ever been answered somewhere but I couldn't find it. Let me know if it has been answered and where. But I am trying to get some manuals for my '95 GSX and I have only been able to find the body/maintenance manual and not the electrical book from Mitsubishi. But I have been finding the '96 GSX full set and was curious if there was any difference between the models.

Now I know that the ODB II sensors weren't really installed on cars until '96 but my '95 GSX says it has a ODB II plug in it. So with that being said, could someone please help me out and let me know if they know of any differences between the two, that would be great! Thank-you!

95 has obdii port, but it was the transition year so thats why you notice when you do smog they never check it.

You have the best of both worlds, I have a 95 myself, 2 of them actually, both GSXs, so during smog, no dyno, and no obdii readiness test.

I see your in norcal, we are having a meet real soon, IT IS VERY RARE TO HAVE A DSM MEET HERE IN NORCAL, this might be the only one for the year, so you should go, stock or not.

Oh yea 95s have the EEPROM ecu, while the 96 does not. So easy upgrade to dsmlink for us.

All 2Gs are OBDII.

I thought only early 95's had eprom ecu's.

Having an eprom ecu has no effect on whether the car's OBDII or not.

he was just stating that he an eprom.... thats tite that those came with eprom.... I have yet to check mine
