difference between 1g maft and 2g maft

hi everyone i was wondering whats the difference between 1g maft and 2g maft i know the plugs are different but besides that anything else? also how do i know what version my maft is doesn't have the sticker to say any other way to find out?

They are the same unit, with different plugs. A 1g has a 1g mas plug, and a 2g has a 2g mas plug.

The 2g maft can handle more air for those who are running bigger turbos. The 1g guys consider putting a 2g maf on there car. The 1g mas is a square looking plug and the 2g is more of a rectangle thing plug. I think the 2g maf starts to be inacurate at 400 hp but i could be wrong.

We are not talking about the factory maf units. We are talking about the translator unit.

i think he's talking about a maf translator, not a stock maf.

ok so i could splice the wire of a 1g maf-T and use it on a 2g and no problems?
