1g Maft on 2g

Im looking for a how to install a 1g gm maft on a 2g car. I have read a few things saying it can be done but nothing that says how to do so.
Does anyone have an idea? Is there an adaptor or will I need to tap the wires somehow? If so how?

I'm confused. Are you asking how do you install a GM MAF on a 2G? Are you trying to vent to the atmosphere? Or are you asking how to install a 1G MAFT in a 2G?

I have a extra 2g mas. Can I open it up and use the stock plug from it on the maft?

All you have to do is act like you're wiring a 1g maf to your car. Find a wiring diagram for a 1g to install a 2g maf and do the opposite. PM me if you can't figure it out.

Sorry to bring this back up but you have him mistaken. He wants to take a 1g maf translator and wire it to a 2g car. So it will have a 2g ecu. Hey man if you do read this again i have tried this and failed at making it work. I say sell the 1g for what u can get and spend alittle more money for the 2g

Hey guys I thought I would follow up with the 1g maft on a 2g car.
A friend gave me a pic of his 2g maft plug
That is the 1st pic

I then got an old 2g maf and cut the plug out of it. Cut the plug off of the 1g maft and soldered the wires up to the correct connection on the 2g maf plug and used heat shrink tape.

Worked the 1st time I installed it.

you do realize thats a big downgrade from the stock, why not go to a junk yard and get one off any mitsu with that maf. all they charge here is $25.
