Delaware DSM club...

what's up everyone......it's a shame that i have been reading this board for almost 2 years and only now did i decide to do a delaware search to see if we had any other dsms round here...well i'm from right out of newark and i've seen some cars round here but not too many besides the usual slow rs and gs (no disrespect, just not really my steez)...i usually cruise around newark and down kirkwood hwy in steathly silver gsx if any of u are from that area........lemme know what going on i been tryin to find some more dsms cause lot of shops round here know dick to tell u the truth so i've resorted to learning everything myself and it'd be interesting to know who else is from around here and what everyone's running...also we definitely should put something together as a group to show this dsm pride seeing as how it seems to be the miniority these parts.

well we would have something for DE dsm's like a meet or something but no one has the time...or the organization NIKKI.. but usually a cpl dsm's meet up at kahunaville on thursday nights from 5 to like 10 or 11....ive never seen ur car before and im in newark and up n down kirkwood highway a lot...there's only like 3 gsx's ive seen in DE a red one in newark...nikki's...and a white one i just recently saw runnin a "16g" front mount and the rest of the supporting mods... but u should come up to kahunaville this thursday..ill probably be there around 830 or so...but anyways welcome to our "club"

Well something could happen if people put input in. My original suggestion was to pick a state park and go w/ it, but that fell through as people didnt really seem like they wanted to do that. Ive balked at planning anything b/c its money and if i spend the money for food and what not and nobody comes, im eating the cost when only 3 or so people show up.

My new suggestion is to pick a neutral location for a get together on a weeknight or weekend night. Seems that most people are free from 8-whenever at night.

So w/ that said, how about a tues-wed or thurs night meeting at a neutral location in newark, kwood, or 202. Someone throw out a good night and a location and we'll get it started. Im down for anywhere except burger king in newark. That place gets shut down in minutes. Personally if it were my choice, id say lantana square in hockessin. You can stand around that place all night and nobody cares, but ill leave it up to everyone else. Lets get it goin guys (and gals)

yea i drive all around there too...got a silver gsx debadged including the eclipse in the mid section with a tee-tag rite now (leaking dp and stupid ass emissions)....besides that i look like just an eclipse with big exhuast.....got a number of mods with big plans in mind...the only other thing i'd say that u would know me by is my hks ssq bov (only bc i bought it for a deal with injen intake w/o dump tube)...but soon enough thatll be recirculated and thank god cause i dont like the loud ass swoooosh.....im all bout being stealth

yea lantana sounds good, definitely a lot less of the po down there compared to newark...i get looks from them just driving down to my boys' dorms...they dont like us much down there i'm usually around any nite....only weds is the weeknite i work but thats rite down 7 so it's on the way....if something is setup id surely do my best to swing thru

sorry for the long post...quick question tho...anyone happen to have a dp to use to pass this damn emissions test? im waiting to get either my bushur or rre but money is pretty tight rite now and i got til the 30th to get back down there....after i pass i can jus throw that pos one i got on there now rite back on and wait for my "goods." thanx and im sure once we start gettin together more will come out.....thats usually how it works :laugh:

Im around the same area, its good to see more DSMers passing through this thread so i get to know some of you guys. So maybe lantana might be the way to go? As long as we can get some imput from the rest, we could set something up for a make shift meet one of these nights. As for the dp, ive got the stock dp and cat sitting in my basement. I dont know if thats any good to you, but i can loan it to you as long as you get it back asap. My emissions is coming up quick and ive got straight pipes on now.

Yea that dp would be a HUGE help. I only need to it get this damn tag cause this is my second tee-tag and honestly once i get that sticker, I won't care about an exhuast leak for the time being. We should get up in the next couple of days, my cat is fine for now it's just that damn dp is leaking fumes like whoa. I was thinking about contacting some junk yards tomorrow, but I know they will try to sell me a used one that prolly leaks too for what I can get the one I really want for, so F that. Well it seems now I got an oil leak from somewhere in the back of my block and a coolant leak coming from under the exhaust manifold, not sure bout the back but guessing possible head gasket leak. I've read bout a possible oil gallery plug but then I'd have to drop the tranny, which would SUCK. I had a shop rebuild this motor and honestly they didn't know jack s###, which makes me worry even more. The all-time newb mistake but now that I know a lot more bout my baby I've been doing ALL my own work Definitely the way to go for the more minor mods and tune-ups in my opinion. My pops also a master auto tech so that helps me since he has like 60 g's worth of tools and worked for mitsu for years. Well tomorrow I will be trying to find the actual leak spot as I've only seen it on the underneath around my trans case. The coolant leak I'll have to find as well, just noticed it once I got home and was letting her run with the hood open for like 5 minutes to cool down the oil thru the turbo since I been lacking that much-needed turbo timer. But thanks for the replys and hopefully we all can meet up soon.

well me and chris came to conclusion its not gonna work :thumbdown ...the awd dp is noticeably longer so ima jus say F emissions.....haha i wish but really im just gona try to plug the leaks in the stocker and get thru that damn test .... conditions arent the best rite now but were still all going up to lantana at 9 so come on out...later everyone

i dont know where any of you guys are...but between 9:30 and 10:00 i will be at Dunkin Donuts on 202, i am there every wed. night at the time...sounds weird but me and my friend stop by there every wed. night...dont ask why it just became a tradition...also a lot of other motor heads are up there, i am the only DSM there...would be nice to see some others
