Well, its been sitting in the garage untouched for about 2 months now....due to lack of time/monetary funds... But I'm getting ready to take my car to Stemar Motorsports in York, PA. Getting some major work done, hopefully, and it will be done soon. I'm pretty excited. But on to the point.

Quick questions about Cecil -

Are they strict about window tint and letting people run Fri night? My windows are 5% all the way around and would like to hit the track a few times this summer once I get my car back, but I love my tint, and would hate to have to take it off. If anybody knows, I'd appreciate the assistance. Thanks

Sorry, the way I worded that it came out wrong. When I said all the way around I meant sides and back. I wasn't sure if they had anything against having your side windows tinted or anything like that. I've never ran up there. Anyone know?

mine are 20 percent tinted and they never said a thing to me...its not like they are insuring you to run ur car if u wreck ur paying... but im sure they wont have a problem with u running with tint that dark...
 
:( I don't need it, but I just don't wanna run my car that hard with it like that, besides the fact I don't think the track wants power steering fluid puddles. Won't be able to get it fixed till Sat.
We should definately go next Friday, maybe Jason won't chicken out.
 
Hey guys! I am interested in getting a meet together in this area. I work at NuCar Performance on 13 in New Castle.WE are getting into imports so if you need anything let me know.I myself own a 92 TSi AWD and think its great that you guys dont like fighting and all that "My car is better than yours" BS.I left a few DSM chapters for that reason.My idea of a car club is helping others and if someone is faster than who cares,that person may be very helpful to the rest of the club.I live in Chadds Ford,PA right over the boarder of DE and PA on 202.My car will be coming up from home the weekend of May 27th.

On another note,I am working on getting somewhere to meet on a regular basis IF thats what you guys want.I know a few NCCo cops in this area and they give everyone a hard time,HOWEVER it is generally just to see what you got or they are interested in your car.The guys I work with get pulled over ALOT for some reason or other(generally Exhaust is LOUD) and the cop usually jsut warns them of thier "speed" or something silly to check out the car because they like it.Also,Hooters was having problems with people doing burnout competitions and such.So any ideas in the Rt 13 area let me know.I can talk with a few people and assure the cops we arent there to start trouble or street race.So long as we keep it kinda quiet and dont leave trash in the parking lots the owners fo a few restaraunts around here wont mind us using thier lot on a weekly or whatever basis.

As for tracks.. I run at Atco.I went to Cecil once and didnt like it.It was too small and too crowded for me to enjoy.I am trying to go Pro next year with racing so this year I have been running in Nopi Chic class on the NDRA.Glad to meet some Freindly DSMers for once.
 
Well, thats sounds like a plan. I'm about 45 min south in the Smyrna, DE area. I'd be willing to travel up that way once in a while to meet and hang out with some other nice cars. I was hoping to make it to the OC Import car show this year, maybe we can get a group together, if anyone else is planning on going, and cruise down together. My car is in the shop right now, though, but hopefully it will be done shortly. Keep me informed on whats going on.....

ok guys I am planning something out for Mid june.. This gives everyone some time to plan.I have to watch what dates I can go since I do drag race on the Nopi Circuit.So if it interferes with a date I am racing I wont be able to make it.So any ideas for Mid June Start shooting.. Jsut June 25-27 is out of the picture for me.I am workin on a location for POSSIBLY a froday night.If you have any ideas let me know.

For a 14B/16G a 3" to 2" PlumbQuick coupler, 2" PVC cap and a male pressure fitting (assuming you have a compressor).

I'd help you out of can wait a week as have a work trip starting tomorrow.

Stemar Motorsports, in York, PA, is having an open house on Sunday, May 15th, around 11am. My car is up there getting some work done. I'm planning on heading up for a little while. If anyone is interested in going, let me know, and we can meet up on the way.
 
Thread's been pretty quiet...whats going on in Del? Anything coming up anytime soon? Meets, Shows, anything? I should have the car back in the next couple weeks, and I can't wait... Anyone heading down to the OC car show June 11th and 12th???
 
havnt heard about it i was just in OC all this past weekend... nothing great list of cars i saw... maserati 2 door maserati 4 doors not big on them but they're something to see...2 white supras one racing a corvette one parked on 1st street... if any of u guys know andy he was down there rollin around with his 11 sec sti...saw a gsx with delaware t tags i believe... red with front mount... like to find out who he is... a white gsx looked stock...blue evo with the biggest front mount ive ever seen in my life parked on a side road around 3rd street....viper rt10... and a crap load of ricers...not bad for memorial day weekend... by the way if anyone heads down there keep an eye out for cops and watch ur speed more then u watch the road.. ihavent been down to OC in a few years and thats the most cops ive ever seen... i saw more cops down there in a single day out of the weekend than i have driving around upper delaware from january til now...i really hope they were just cracking down on people because of the holiday weekend... but if thats a typical weekend around OC then i probably wont head down for this car show...
 
well,i didnt get my talon back,infact it needs to be bored again since my friend left it rusty and the block is scuffed.I have the scuffed piston with me at work.. but I wont be doing any driving for about a month now.:cry: :cry: I jsut want my toy back!! Anywyas a meet for me is kinda gonna be hard since I take the bus to work every morning and dont ahve a car to drive.Anyone know of any GOOD and cheap Car transporting companies? I gotta get the thing up here soon.
 
I got my talon runnin again. She needs some work, hopin to have her out in a few weeks.
