Well I made it up to cecil county last night. There were some awesome cars, but I was disappointed in the DSM turnout. I saw a total of maybe 3 or 4 DSM's, and I only saw 1 turbo. A nasty supra showed up, and a few crazy diesel trucks. Anyone else make it out?

yeah i was there, but without my GSX...my friend 04 cobra was there, but he didn't run...there was really no point for him to he ran a 12.2 if anyone is wondering on street tires...anyway Eclipses there sucked last night, supras were sweet, SRT-4s suck, and the rest of the cars were pretty cool...sleeper 240 sx ran a 11.3, good night though, perfect for racing
 
I was there, but wasn't really impressed. DSM turnout was very low and I got tired of watching the SRT's, so I rolled by 9:30. I hope DSM turnout gets better in the next few weeks :thumb:
 
I agree on the SRT's...they really sucked a$$. The sound of their exhaust irritates the piss out of me. I was definately very disappointed in the DSM turnout. But my car wasn't there. I was there in the dodge. It was a great night to race...just wish my car was running :notgood: There was some really awesome cars there though. There was a sweet sliver Trans Am that was running hard! Had a great time, but I got out of there at like 915 and went to Grotto's to get some grub! I was patronizing a kid with a green focus all riced out. He was talking all kinds of shit and ended up running a 17.2. LOL! :p

LOL...i think i saw that kid in the focus, i actually kind of felt bad for him if he is the same kid...he was there all by himself, but talking all sorts of shit and was bragging that he is back on the road after being suspended from driving for like 2 months or something...srt-4s suck balls no matter what, and there were a million of them there...having some problmes with my GSX but i am praying i will be able to run it soon, i might anyway, just having some trouble controlling the boost, but im sooo fed up with it i dont care what happens... :(

:tease: Yeah, he was the one in the green focus hatch with the ghetto strobe lights and green neon lights. He was a trip. He was a couple classes under me in High School. He's a little on the odd side if you ask me! :toobad:

So is anyone planning on heading out to cecil this weekend? I'm giving it a thought, if the weather is decent. But I also don't get off work until like 5:30 so it depends on how I feel after work. Car is still down though, so I'll either be in the beater s-10 or the dodge ram, unless I hitch a ride with a friend. :thumb:

I hope to see a good number of DSMs runnin this summer. Mine is still down and will continue to be down atleast until middle of next month. Hopefully fresh motor rebuild and new turbo does her right, I miss drivin and whoopin on the ricers. :dsm:
 
Just pulled the motor this weekend and it looks like it's gonna be a complete teardown and refresh after the thrust bearing failure :notgood: Gonna drop everything off this week hopefully to be hot tanked but will prob be atleast a month before I bring her out, got my eyes set on a new ZX-6R right now though. Hopefully that'll hold me over till she's ready ;)
I'll be down at Cecil this Friday if the weather is alright. Last Friday was really weak, but a decent day to get runs in. I'll be with my buddy and his 10sec Vega.

Well I've been busy working, and spending money on the Dodge Ram, so the DSM has taken a backseat... Mainly cause it broke after I started working on the truck... So once I get the kinks worked out in the tranny in the Ram, I'll be attempting to get the work done on my DSM and hopefully have it back on the road ASAP. Hopefully, the plan is to by next year about this time to have swapped in a fully built 6-bolt, a shep trans, and some more new goodies!!! :rocks: :thumb:

But as for right now, its just collecting dust with a few of my other vehicles...LOL :notgood:
Its parked in the garage next to the 79 Trans Am thats waiting to see its share of work! LOL

But I'm looking forward to getting the DSM back on the road and making a few passes at Cecil soon.

Oh...BTW...

I'd like to get a good list of who might be showing up at cecil this weekend so if I go, I can start meeting a few more people from the forum, and putting some faces to some names... Let me know...

Yo theres a show at Car Version 2 in Newport on April, 9th. Anyone and everyone with a dsm should come. I went last year there was some pretty hot cars out. :dsm:
 
I might show up to cecil this weekend with my boy and his prelude might run my car with its bald ass tires...Might even talk my dad into runnin his silverado SS supercharged..est. 550hp AWD....hopefully hell run... Ill be at the car show at car v2 too...
 
YO EclipseGS-T 95 thats cool your coming through to the show this weekend. Talk to you then. Your friend should come with his prelude too. :dsm:
 
Sounds great...E-town is awesome, I've been to a couple shows there. BUT....unfortunately I haven't had the time or money to work on the DSM, so the cars is still down :cry: :notgood:

Hope all that go have a great time...try to snap some pics...

This friday april 22nd im heading to the track not running with bald tires but "johnnyc" is going to run his fwd laser agasint my boy with a prelude sh.... whos up for this friday a cecil?

Yeah, the DSM turnout down at Cecil has sucked big time the last month or so. Is everybody broken?? I'm taking mine down for the first time this year on Friday. Had it down last August but it was so damn hot and humid it didn't run so great.

Anybody else coming down?? It'd be nice not to be the only turbo 1g down there. :|

yea so cecil worked out well for us friday... thanks to the freaking rain i dont think i can make it this coming friday because i have to do some baby project for school for like 3 days next week not sure if i get the baby for friday but if i dont im going...that is of course if it doesnt rain... :notgood:

:mad: I spent all week trying to get little odds and ends fixed on the car so it would be ready and then thursday night I saw the moved the rain up to friday night from all day saturday. Should have went down last Wednesday night. Wednesday was beautiful. Maybe this coming friday.
