I am hopefully coping a tranny this weekend, dude went out of town last weekend. I am gonna throw that is and then send my old one to Shep, depending on how damaged it is, we'll see, I just got to get the talon back up, I miss my baby.

i feel u man.....i cant believe my shit is still down after chasing an oil leak.....i gotta a problem now with a noise coming form something driven by the tbelt.....im thinknig the tensioner and idlerr pulleys......im copping them tomm and maybe one day ill get this POS back together.....wehres everyone been?

I talked to Jon From TRE yesterday he wants me to send tranny to him even if it has broken case, so it looks like that is whats gonna happen. Means I'm still out of a talon for 2 more weeks, instead of a few days. :thumbdown

Means I'm still out of a talon for 2 more weeks, instead of a few days. :thumbdown

I've got a VG condition 22-spline tranny and a 23-spline BM Tranny (rebuilt to 94-spec)with a hairline crack in the BH sitting in my garage if interested. Got a deal on a Shep Tranny so backups no longer needed

FYI.. your '93 is going to cost extra to rebuild as will need a new 3-4th gearset (weak link in the '93s).

I talked to Jon at TRE, it doesn't look like it is going to be that expensive, I have a hook-up at Shep also, but prob is I am going to need a new Bell housing, which he doesn't have at the moment. Thanks I will pass on BM tranny, 23 spline ( The one I would've needed). I hate Transmissions, just to let everyone know. I gotta get my baby back on the road.

On a side note, my ISC took a shit the other day, anybody got one laying around :thumbdown Its the hottest shit having to blip the throttle at lights to keep my idle up.

BTW.. likely your ISC is just crudded up. Just remove it and clean out the crud where the needle seats with a paperclip / carb cleaner. Worked for me

So I am not gonna post the email I got from Jon at TRE, but the cliff notes are my shit was ####ing trashed. Everything was either broken, warped, burned, worn down. So Jon and I decided best bet is to get a whole new TRE tranny, which is what I did. It should be here by friday on Monday, Damn I can't wait to get my shit back on the road.

thats awesome chris i bet that tranny costed a little coin but i kno itll be worth it.....i finally got my shit back on the road....she still isnt her strongest but my oil pan is leaking so i havent been gettin on her....basically i jus needed her back to have a car to get around.....a couple of us are trying to get up here sometime soon....i kno a lot of us have been down for quite some time and thats y everythings been dead lately.....whoevers around post and let everyone know how things are goin and maybe we can come to a conclusion on when to get up or whatever...later everyone

I think I am going to be happier knowing the Tranny is good, instead of just buying one from a junk yard and guessing. I think I will prob go to Cecil on 10/30. We should all get up sometime in Nov, to chill discuss new mods, whatever.

How bad could it be? Three engines, numerous repairs and only 2 months of driving this entire year and I'm not ready to quit.... They only get better man! Either way, best of luck with whatever you do, but just remember it'll never be a DSM

And you hit the nail right on the head. Ill be happy its not a DSM. From broken shifters, plastic pieces and cheap mitsu rattling interiors, it has pretty much made me hate my car. I used to love it til it became a chore to drive it. Sure i could spend 6 more grand and make it nice, but why. I need a change. I hate to leave b/c this site and most of its members has been completely awesome, but its just time for a change.

No, it goes in the paper next week. Just got it to pass inspection today thank god, so its tagged for another 2 years now. Just picked up a 97 Civic hatch, so today was the last time i drive the talon. Sad day, but its on to motor swaps and honda daily drivin.
