Dejon S-Pipe connecting to intercooler

I just bought a Dejon Jpipe and a lower intercooler S-pipe. The sizes of the intercooler pipe and the dejon s-piping appear to be exactly the same in size. However, I was told the inlet and outlet on at stock 2gDSM IC are about 2-3/16. And i know for Sure the dejon pipping I have is 2-1/4. The coupling fits perfectly over the Dejon pipe and the pipe coming from the intercooler, BUT if its connected this way, there isnt enough room for the upper S-pipe to connect to the J-Pipe, there is about 2inches too much. Do i need to shave down the outlet on the intercooler for installation to be correct? Has anyone else dealt with a similar problem??

you shouldnt need to shave anything. just cover the gap with the coupler. and tighten down the clamps

That pipe is probibly for a T-25/8 turbo, and the J-pipe for a 16G/14b may not put it in the stock location for that pipe. So you will probibly be better off modifying the pipe so it fits properly rather than the Intercooler.

^^ That's correct. He sells three totally different lower IC pipe sets depending on where your compressor outlet exits. If you are trying to adapt this s-pipe to work with a j-pipe off your turbo, then you'll most likely need to cut something.

Post a picture of the overlap up top, where the j-pipe and s-pipe meet, if you need any more advice. That way we can see what you are working with.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I spoke with Dave at Dejon and he told me sometimes the S-Pipe needs to be cut. I removed approximately 1inch off the side that connects to the Intercooler, NOT the side that connects to the Jpipe. All is working flawlessly.
