data logging with a palm

ok, i have a palm tungsten T2 that i use for school and so forth so i do not need to buy a palm. that unit uses palm's universal plug, unlike the m100 and the other palms do. my main questions are:

is there data logging software for the tungsten T2?
what else do i need to set up the T2?
where can i find a cable to hook it up?
do i always have to leave the palm hooked up to the data cable?

ive searched the other threads here and i didnt find anything about my particular palm pilot and im trying to avoid buying another one. any help would be nice.

they have alot of info about which Palm to use and what not..thez also mentioned the m100 that u have..thez also got hotsync cable for the T2/t3..just read everz thing on the page,its not the best website,the info is all over the place on there,so u need to take ur time,i read everzthing on that site and now i know a thing or two more about compatibality that i didnt know before..

Ok...somebody's Z button got stuck there... anyways...I have the M100 palm and the MMCD OBD program with a COM cable that has three wires on opposite end that my Hotsync cable hooks up to. No you do not need to always have your cable plugged in, it is a pain in the butt if you unhook and hook it up...if you mean just your palm then no, it goes everywhere you do. I kinda doubt that Your palm is compatible. just get the M100 off of Ebay. I did and I'm poor. I also bought the cable that came with the software. it all came to a grand total of 75 dollars brand new. lots of accessories. Hope that helps BTW, using Z's, is WAY out :thumbdown

where did you get a cable with software for only $75? the only ones ive found are $175! thanks for everyone's input.

I shall pass on some information that will save you soo much money that a friend once said to me. Ebay! search for " M100 " then for the $35 cable search something like " DSM OBD " or " OBD Cable " you should pick up an M100 for like 40 bucks. so that's how I did 75....It depends too... there are numerous programms offered I have the MMCD program... I would like to have the TMO, but that may be more expensive. The MMCD is just fine though, you can still do the injector test.

does your program read off the knock sensor as well? thats one of the things i am most interested in reading.

just checked ebay for that cable you described and it is only for the 1g dsms... i got a 2g.

OK this thread has 2 things i didn't want to hear.

1 - i cant use my T2 either..
2 - i have to go get another freakin palm and cable just to log... and i cant even get KNOCK.. unbelievable

Pocketlogger works with 2gs as well, you just have to get the OBDII logger. If you have an eprom ecu in your 95, your best bet is dsmlink.

dsm link is very expensive though, and I would rather have something small like a palm pilot in the car to tune instead of a laptop, but whatever works (and best) I guess ill be going with.
