1G dash lights quit working

I was hooking my boost gauge back up in my center console ( i have the gauge right below the radio) and when i was wiring it back up i heard a small pop and now the speedo lights dont work the check engine and all the other lights still work just not the actual gauge lights or the hvac lights as well only the green button on the ac button work now.. i checked all the fuses and there all fine and all my lights outside the car work still

I have 3 speedos and they all do the exact same thing? is something not wired right or is there a fuse somewhere else that could be bad

Ya checked the fuses under the dash inside and the ones in the fuse box in the bay everything was ok.. could it be a relay?

im not sure if there is a relay for it but while wireing the gauge up it could be possible that some power wire coulda got grounded and maybe shorted and burned a wire under the dash. Dis it smell like frying wire when this happened?

No i just heard a very quiet pop when i wired the boost gauge up is it possible that something is still wired wrong and because of that its not letting the dash light up?

ya everything works perfectly except the speedo lights.. the speedometer still works.. rpms work the check engine lights and other dummy lights work just when its night time you cant see s*** cause the lights dont work haha

Id say pull the instrement panel and see if the bulbs are still ok. You might have just quickly grounded something with out knowing it and it may have popped the bulbs

Sounds like a dimmer switch issue, find a used one and see if that help, i had the same problem fixed with a dimmer switch.

where could i get a dimmer switch from? that sounds like a good idea but i dont get why after i heard the pop the dash lights dont work i feel like it should be a fuse

Fuse or bad wire, check salvage yard, or a wtb add, ebay, or classifieds.

Ok cool i might get into it this weekend if i find some time to just hangout and work on it.. im not really in a big rush to get it fixed when im driving i just cruise so im not worried about getting pulled over
