i just changed my alternator and my alt fuse after they blew and now for some reason my battery light/e brake light and another light stay on while im driving and my high beams wont turn on now, and i know for a fact that my e brake isn't on so i don't believe that i have a bad battery or ne thing, does ne one have a idea on what could be wrong ive tried changing every fuse that looked even old.

btw its a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd, so i know age is a big factor but the car is and has been well taken care of

its currently raining but as soon as it stops ill have to try that, hope it works been putting so much time into this car and it only been getting a new problem as soon as i change the part i need too :(

ty for the insite, and hope ## sorrect and thats just the problem

I've got the same problem! The alternator light battery light and brake light flicker all the time but its not really noticable unless it is dark.. my problem started randomly when i was leaving work. I was pulling out and started smelling electrical wiring smelting! So I shut the car off and that was the end of it, ever since then those light flicker and i have a pretty bad battery drain. It could have been under the hood, I think i had the heat on comming from outside. so it could be from under the hood. Any other ideas?
