Dang, my friends gst spyder is killing everything....???

hey

ok so my friend just got a 97 gst spyder a couple months ago and since then heres what weve done....


Upper L Intercooler Pipe
Upper S Intercooler Pipe
Lower S Intercooler Pipe
Hallman MBC @ 15psi
Greddy Type S Bov
3" Megan Cat-eliminating downpipe
3" Megan Cat-back exhaust
2.5" o2 housing
APEXi SAFC-2
Walbro 255 pump
Injen intake w/ k&n filter
Boost Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, Air/fuel gauge


Alright so the car is kinda quick im thinking somewhere around a low 14 considering its still on the t-25... but the car keeps pulling on some really fast cars out here...like a 350z, Corvette (not z06), 2003 m3 from a 20-80mph roll...the m3 caught it and passed it by 90....but idk it just seems like the car pulls harder then most cars with a t-25...i checked it and it sure as hell is still a t-25...im maybe a t-28???

Im not all that educated on t-25's....i own a 1g and never had to hassle with them......but how would i know if its a t-28 or not....they still use the same housing dont they....

if his is pulling on vetts m3 ect its gotta be the t-28, and yes I am pretty sure they are the same housing

i cant see it pulling on RWD cars like that being a FWD car.
ya t-28 looks basicly the same ( i dont think it has the same housing tho? )
it can also be a b16g with a rotated compressor housing.. (but ya should be able to tell )

T-28s share the same housing as the T-25... performance-wise, the T-28 will pretty much run with the big16g. I don't think anything with the T-25 (t-2suck) will run with those other cars you mentioned

Well i've taken some pretty fast cars with my t25 but they were all street races. The m3 is probably right but he will catch up very quick. c4/c5 corvette, i hung with one on the highway but he would have still destroyed me. 350z, i've had no problem walking all over them like little school girls

Dave, I don't know how you can say FWD is a negative vs RWD from a roll? RWD has more of a drive train loss and traction isn't an issue with the T-25 while running from a roll.


I knocked out a few cars with my old T-25 after I had put all of the supporting mods for a bigger turbo on (everything -FMIC). Stang GT, Z28s, 350z :laugh:, RX8, lots of Honduhs All from a roll though on the highway somewhere. Only car I really ever lined up with was a modified GSR. He had just as much wheel spin as me , handed it to him

All T28/Big T28's have the same housings as the T25, except for the kind I have

I don't see why with the supporting mods you wouldn't believe it would win against a standard Corvette and 350z. A non-Z06 corvette is equipped with a LS1 motor...

I stay up with Camaros w/ LS1, I get beat by a half a car length from a stop up to 100MPH with the following mods:
- Upper IC Piping
- Blitz BOV
- 11PSI boost
- 3" Turbo-back Exhaust
- Intake

Though I have AWD as a advantage, it also is a dissadvantage against LS1s since I lose power the higher I go, and LS1s just keep getting stronger and stronger. So I really don't see a problem not beating a Corvette with 4 extra pounds of boost, and a better top end than my car.

350zs are overrated vehicles. M3 would be the one I would least doubt, and he said himself he lost to it at 90MPH.

So I don't see why this person would come here and lie about it, perhaps the Corvette/350z drivers sucked.

If he is running a T28, he should have beat the M3 as well. T28s can get into the low 12s if all supporting mods are there. So I highly doubt he has another turbo.

Yes a t28 can get into low 12's but not with a fwd. I'm getting a pte 50 trim this summer but its going to be hard for me to get low 12's high 11's with a damn 50 trim let alone a t28.
