I don't know who feel the power isn't getting to the ground . True the car spins but it's fast as heck in fact a little too fast in my book. Lol a true street car with race car power.
I was reffering to your own video with boost at 25psi. this is most peoples definition of no traction.

To be honest neither. I built the car as a show of skills and to blend with most the street exotics here in Atlanta power wise so far I have earned much respect. 1/4 mile Time Is Coming After Fuel Upgrade. I am mainly interested in being street spoiler and to see what she run in the 1/2 mile events. The car thus far has proven to be a blast to drive I am very pleased that my non cookie cutter method is 8 months reliable nothing broken yet....
I like your responses. you approach to building a car is pretty much just like my own. I build my cars to please myself. they are anything but cookie cutter. they may not shine at the track or on the dyno or in any one particular catagory but they sure do put a smile on my face when i drive them.
recently a friend of mine purchase a 2008 450HP AMG mercedes. I got to take it out for spin. car handled nice, drove nice, sounded nice, had good power delivery. overall I thought the car was a lot of fun to drive. maybe the most powerful normally aspirated car I have driven. funny thing is I am proud to say it did nothing better than my little blue 22 year old evo. my car has far more acceleration/torque. the power hits just as fast. car rides just as nice if not better. handles better, stays flatter with sharper turn in. smoother, quieter ride, with a good bit less tire noise. I cant think of anything the mercedes did better except for working anti-lock brakes. afterwards we did a quick roll from 30. that felt amazing. I love sparring with higher priced vehicles.
also shows cars can be modded for better performace without ruining them. building cars the way I like FTW!You must be logged in to view this image or video. You must be logged in to view this image or video.
With 21 dyno pulls and much daily street abuse we will have to see just how much time was borrowed. I think the ati damper is the key to longevity just my $.02
Have you taken the ati balancer off to check it. I wonder does it deteriorate like the oem style balancer. I can tell you that an Advance balancer is only good for 10k-15k miles. I seen two died on a build I did for a guy within 25k miles. He said the Advance balancer is 3 pieces instead of two pieces like the oem one. The third one he got is only two pieces. He said the two pieces balance only have on rubber ring and the three pieces one has two rubber rings. Let see how the two pieces balance last. He does drive it daily and love to beat on it.
I believe better parts, great tune and greater attention to details helps to keep every lasting a lot longer.
I think that once you get stickier tires or slicks, you are bound to snap something. Your car is making a lot of torque and no stock dsm manual tranny can take that much torque too long if it hooks. My friend Ngoc never break anything with 465hp and 400tq until he went to the track with 24.5"x8" Mickey Thompson Et drag slicks. He broke two act 2600 clutches, 1 act 2900 clutch, 1 shift fork, 1 throw out bearing, and 1 driver side axle. I can not tell you how many trannies and clutches I killed. All of these carnages and we are make way less torque than you. I hope you don't have to deal with any breakage any time soon.
I had the ati damper off once and everything looks fine. The way its constructed it seem that it will last for a long time. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...er-pulleys-understanding-harmonic-damper.html look at post number 2 my concept seems to be holding true to form thus far. Killa thanks for your input always much appreciated. Good point on the tune as well! Third gear 93 octane pull log below and is an example of my concept of a good tune.Good stuff Dude!!!!!

Good editing. Now do some actual flybys damnit
was speaking with killa colt today and he's gonna help me get the fuel system right he just don't know it yet!
very sure the fluidampr works far better than a factory damper. I havent yet tried a ati damper.
came across this video on utube. it prompted me to do a video test of my own to test a new mistubishi factory damper, against my well used, five year old fluidampr. (early alloy style) engine is a 2.3 with balance shafts. first video is from utube. clearly an undamped pulley is a bad idea. I would have liked to do a third video with power pulley. but the power pulley uses shorter belts. the fluidampr was swapped in quickly so videos are 10 minutes apart. second two are my videos. the first video if you listen at the last rev ~25 seconds, you can hear a distinct whine. also notice how slow the engine revs. on the second video the engine is revved higher than in the first. the engine revs quicker, smoother, and without that whine. in short if you care about your most important investment, the engine, buy a fluidampr.

Kelton, congrats on the job well done. What impress me is the kind of power band you have. You build power and torque at 4,500rpm, for those who are skepital, go find me a car that can pump out 700hp and hit boost/spool at 4,500. This right here is insane. This is probably the best set up I have even seen. I wounder what this turbo will do in a twin scroll housing. I bet it would be even more insane with this cyclone set up. Say spool up at 3,900rpm? I think that will be achievable. Look how quickly it build boost. This is just insane. Keep doing your thing Kelton. Sometimes you just have to take the road that is far from least resistance.

This Borg Warner turbo goes that 6266 will be going on my car with my twin scroll setup for sure. That's one impressive turbo.Kelton, congrats on the job well done. Lol!!I don't have anything against you but a simple cyclone record is really nothing impressive seeing how the stocker has been over 800whp.
