cv shaft is bad and squeaking after lowering

I put kyb agx's with eibach prokit spring onto my 90 gsx a while ago. the front springs were cut some but not a whole lot (i didn't cut them the a$$hole i bought them from did) the first day i had them on i noticed a quiet squeaking coming from the right rear wheel. i took it off immediately and couldn't find anything. so i have been driving around with it. i'm pretty sure that you can hear it at just about any speed except high way driving. I was wondering what that is, and also i just noticed my front left cv shaft is blown by the wheel and the whole inside of my wheel is covered with grease from it. I was wondering if lowering the car did this or if it could just be old. i have 140,000 miles on the car. Thanks

Most likely old age caused the boot to tear. Lowering the car can put added stress on a cv joint however. Also, I am hoping your not driving around with that torn boot, because sooner or later you WILL be left stranded somewhere.
