ok when i turn i hear a knocking noise. if i give it more gas, the knocking noise gets faster. is it my cv joints? what can i do to fix them? can i fix them? if not where can i bring them to get fixed. thanks

If you wanna take them somewhere any local garage can and should be able to do them for you...

As far as you fixing them, its not a hard job, but labour intensive...

Really strait forward...

Here is a link that may help you out...CV Shafts/Boots

ok, read the whole thing, looks like its quite a job, i think i can do it. but i think i rather pay for it to be done. anyone know what the price is around for the cv joints?

CV joint jobs go for about $400 labor. I say do it yourself, get a set of lock ring pliers, a CV boot clamp crimper and a set of normal tools and you should be able to do it.

if ur axles have already starting cracking, Then ususaly the Axle is on its way out. If ur Tight on cash, replace the torn boot(s) and it might have it live a little longer.

Replacing Axles are Easy as hell, they might be hard for the first timer. but just take ur time. Make notes. and Save ur self 400 bones!

Once a CV has started making noise, it's done for. They don't heal.
