So I just got my clutch replaced and im having a small leak on my transaxle output and im wondering it its normal to have this gap or if the axle needs to be pushed in more, if so what's the best way to do it

It can be hard to tell sometimes. That doesn't look particularly abnormal. But see that dark ring outside of the seal? That's likely where the axle used to ride on the seal, so it may be out a bit. Normally you can grab the cup and shove it in by hand. If not, you may need to remove it from the hub and tap it in with a rubber mallot. It's also easy to warp the steel ring during installation and it will never seal once that happens. Check the entire circumference of the seal for damage or out of shape, then try to push it in a bit more.

Here's an example of a damaged seal and the dark ring I'm referring to.

It's out too far IMO (never seen one out that far). I grab with one hand on each side equally and slam it in quickly (start with less force and add more if needed - but a quick jerk was needed). On mine even grabbing it by the wheel end worked when I rammed it in. Of course if you have the wrong size cir-clip on it that will be a problem.

So I pushed a quarter inch inward but I still had the gap, i thought there was supposed to be no gap and I continued to hammer away 😅 i found this video and looks like I'm not the only one who thought this. If you're curious about the video this is the link its at the 5:50 mark
