specter 4 in intake (yes i finaly got it chill) :p remember pleas bear with my spelling

If you cut out the ducting that is inside it makes it quieter.. As you noticed.
Things you can do:
-Change the rubber recirculation tube to a metal one
-Change to a metal hard pipe, or build your own using the stock rubber snorkel (Cut out the middle part where it is bendy, and put in a 3" or so metal pipe and clamp it to the top and bottom piece)
-Get a different BOV (1g is a bit louder)
-Change your intercooler piping to metal piping.

you see thers this hill i live by that i go up and i usualy book it cus thers never any cops in the boonys right? :p well i usualy flor it and go up that hill about 80-90 still flored. after this tubing mod i was doing around 100 you see i dont want too loose this power gain but i wana keep that nois (gata love that bov) and where would i find a diff maf btw im havn stupid moment but what dose maf mean agen LOL
and i cant find a junkyard within a longshot that has a 1st gen eclips letalone a tsi or gst/x

RECIRCULATE!!!!!

you are going to run into so many problems if you disconnect the recirculation tube. Your mas accounts for the air that is pushed back into the turbo. Rrad up on the problems that can arise from this.

Also IDK who else agrees with me, but we are not ricer tuners here.
Mitsubishi made out car to handle turbos and preform very well. The 1g stock BOV is amazing and there is a reason why, it was designed for our car.

I know for a fact I love smoking civic and integras with turbos and I don't need to make a huge PSHHHH sound. Sleeper style.

FORM OVER FUNCTION

if you really want to get a nice BOV that you can recirculate and make a huge amount of noise go with the HKS SQQV. I have that BOV in my car and we tested it with out circulating with a GM MAS, and it was stupid loud that I actually prefer to recirculate to decrease the noise.

wer do you get off calling me a ricer man. i am not one i hate them kk?

2 i stated at the begening to excuse my spelling
3 i wanted to vent to the air but i want to do that right in time get everything tuned and agusted for it and even get ecu reprogramed for it but i would go for the hks but i hav a crap of a job :p

but yes i like the creeper idea but i would still like to know how to vent to atmosfere i hav a dude who has honda wi vtec that runs high 12s and keeps hatin :p ALOT But yea coment my piks finaly got them up LOL

Secondly a way to increase sound is to increase the boost:hellyeah:

While this holds some little truth to it. It is by far the worst way to get additional sound without having the correct supporting mods and a monitoring system.

On the stock MAF, or upgrading to a 2g/3g/evo MAF. Upgraded hard piping, with a 1G BOV done with the dodge garage mod is plenty loud to pronounce the BOV sound efficiently. I barely noticed a difference in sound when I decided to give it a try and see if there was a significant difference. Maybe 1-2db louder vented.
With a GM MAF, you'll get a good amount of spool up gained. But then again any Mitsu. upgraded MAF will as well. FYI people have hit 400whp on the stock 2G MAF.
