I have searched and collected some info on radiator fan wiring but still am not sure about how to wire my fans the way I want them.

I currently have two slim fans wired together into the D/S plug. My engine temps are just barely acceptable in traffic, I would like them to be lower. I think the problem is my slim fans.

I would like to switch to a stock fan on the P/S and leave the D/S slim fan. From what I have read the P/S does more to cool the radiator. I know how to hook up the D/S back into the stock plug so thats not an issue. I do not have AC, but need to be able to use my heat near constantly now in the winter so I do not want to wire into the ac fan harness.

My question is this, How do I wire the AC fan to be on constantly while still being able to have the heat on? Wire a relay off of a constant 12v power source at the fuse block to turn the fan on constantly?

I put in a lower temp thermal switch to the PS fan so it comes on at 185* and shuts off at 165*. On the DS fan I wired it so it comes on when the A/C is running, and it also comes on anytime the idle switch has been activated for more than seven seconds.

Later I switched to a single fan setup with a wide shroud that covers the whole radiator, but the principal is the same as I now have a two speed fan.

In case someone wants to ask how to make a time delay relay:

only difference was that I replaced 2N3053 with a 2N3055

Like I said in the first post I would like to have the PS side fan on with the engine and run under all conditions. Can I run a constant 12v of the battery and ground the other wire to chassis somewhere?
