Somewhere in BC,
Hey guys I'm having an issue my rad fans broke so I bought a shroud kit with 2 12" slim blue fans only problem is my stock fans have 4 wires on each and the new slim 12" blue fans on the shroud have only 2 wires on each how do I wire this so that it can work the same as my stock rad fans work on the 4 wire harness??

So the fans have to work all the time now?? Or is there a way to get them to run like the factory ones didband use the stock 4 wire plug???

No they won't run all the time that the car is running, i meant that the fan will run at the time that it is supposed to. The fans have multiple speeds from the factory. The fan speeds up if the temp gets so high. If you were to just wire into the low speed wire than the fan would come on at a lower temp, but would shut off when the high speed relay is switched on. IF you wire the high and low speed circuits together than the single speed fan will come on with either relay switched on.

Ok that's cool Ill try and wire it up the same way it says on the link you posted for me thanks a lot I was lost with the fan setup and looking at the 4 wire harness vs the 2 wires on the new fans haha thanks again

Rix,

You are looking at the harness on the fan and not the body harness. That link has the way to wire it according to the body harness and according to the fan harness. For the wires on the fan harness.

USING FAN SIDE WIRES OF FAN CONNECTOR (ie. going to original fan motor):

For driver's side fan:
Connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's blue/black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's blue wire with
3. new fan's + wire (usually non-black)
Also connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's black/white wire with
3. new fan's - wire (usually black)

For passenger's side fan:
Connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's blue wire with
2. original fan harness connector's green wire with
3. new fan's + wire (usually non-black)
Also connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's yellow wire with
3. new fan's - wire (usually black)

For the wires on the body harness

USING HARNESS SIDE WIRES OF FAN CONNECTOR:

For driver's side fan:
Connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's blue/white (ie. blue with white stripe) wire with
2. original fan harness connector's blue wire with
3. new fan's + wire (usually non-black)
Also connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's blue/black wire with
3. new fan's - wire (usually black)

For passenger's side fan:
Connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's white/black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's white/blue wire with
3. new fan's + wire (usually non-black)
Also connect the following together:
1. Original fan harness connector's black wire with
2. original fan harness connector's blue/green wire with
3. new fan's - wire (usually black)

You can use either guide, if you are just cutting the plugs from your stock fans than go by the first one which has your wire colors that you listed. If you are wiring them directly to the body harness than use the second one that i posted.

Ok perfect thanks for the fast reply I should have read further down I totally missed my colors ill try that out in the morning yeah I want to use and solder my old fan harness from the stock fans to the slim fans easier for future maintenance here's pics of my setup,

Rix,
