I put on an HX-35 and some DKS 272s and now I can't get my car to idle. I put the timing belt on correctly and just verified that my cams are on lined up properly at TDC. I can get it to idle, but its rough as hell. As soon as I ground the timing connector to check my base timing, it starts to and eventually dies. I can start the car with the timing connector grounded but it dies after 10 seconds.

WOT is beautiful, no knock and pulls smooth. Cruise is just as great, wideband stays right around 14.7 and it drives smooth.

I did a boost leak test and didn't find any leaks. Attached is an idle log. Any help is appreciated.

Did you adjust your VE map to compensate for the changes in airflow brought on by th bigger cams? They do idle a little rough when installed straight up. If you have some cam gears take a few degrees of overlap out of the cams and you'll get a better vacum with smoother idle (as well as gaining a good amount of top end)

The only adjustments I made to the VE table was the SD VE Adjust (CombineFT) and it doesn't make very many changes, none of which helped the idle. I don't know what I would base my adjustments off manually.

I don't have adjustable cam gears, I was hoping that they would just drop in good enough like "most" cars. Thank you for the response.

I think I may have found my issue.
I put a new head gasket on, lapped the valve, new valve seals, and evo 8 springs and retainers last summer. I did a compression test and it was 150psi across the board.

Here's compression tests tonight along with a picture of the plug out of cylinder 3. They are in order from drivers side to passenger side cylinder 1 dry, cylinder 1 wet, cylinder 2 dry, cylinder 2 wet etc.......
