I overheated the engine and had to take off the head and have it machined. Mean while i replaced the water pump and belts as suggested by the mechanic that was helping me do the work. after getting it put back together and driving it for a few months or less the water pump and alternator belts (one or the other) started tearing apart and shredding the other one. I thought maybe it was just because I had, in an effort to be cost effective, bought the cheap (and I don't mean inexpensive, I mean "cheap") belts. So I after replacing them 2x under the warranty bought the Gates belts and they seem to be holding up much better. But after the second time the cheap belts broke I started watching the crank pulley while the engine was running and noticed it wobbling slightly. My mechanic friend suggests the bearing on the pulley is worn out so i ordered a new pulley (UD) but it does not have any type of bearing. I have been doing some serious research and have found nothing about any bearing/bushing on the pulley or the end of the crankshaft. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thinking maybe my crank bolt is worn or something along that line, so I will be replacing the bolt also.
