I have a quick question. I noticed that my plastic maf adapter has a few cracks in it and one spot is completely missing a piece of the plastic, would this cause any significant problems as far as boost leak or a fuel cut issue. I've already fixed all boost leaks and this is literally the only thing that's broken. Just curious if anyone would know by that being cracked and broken in some areas would it cause a problem or is it nothing to worry about. And I should keep looking to find my problem as far as cut out at 5k under wot.
90 tsi, evo 16g, 190 pump rewired, 560cc injectors, fmic, 2g maf, 3 inch exhaust and 2in hard pipe That's pretty much all I have done to the car

How much boost are you running? It could crack worse over time. With bumps and normal driving. I would look for another maf at a junkyard to fix it. But as long as the connector is getting a good connection and cant come off than you should be fine for now. You could suck air in threw the cracks but I dont see how it would be that significant to cause any issues. But I would definitely get it fixed by getting a new maf. You could post a pic so we can see it.

It all depends were the hole and the cracks are. Can you post a picture for us to see. Also all air going into the motor is metered by the MAF. If you have air that's going in after the MAF then it could cause you to bog out because you are getting more air into the motor and not enough fuel.
