i bought a maf adapter to go on my intake, my question is what in the heck is the black plastic/rubber piece that is on the actualy metal piece...it seems as if it is only in the way with no real purpose, and also i tried for forever to get the black piece on my maf adapter but it seems that it never quite goes on all the way and theirs always a small crease or opening i think i might have figured it out, if not ill repost, but what is the black thing on the metal piece for?
