cost of turbo bolts

im getting setup and ready to do a complete evo 3 install (turbo, ,mani, housing) but before i start cracking into the stock setup i called the local mitsu dealer to replace the bolts with OEM, they're wanting $16.00 a bolt from mani to turbo WTF
how much is everyone else paying for the bolts holding up the turbo from their local dealers, seems to me like everyone has the best luck with OEM. instead of replacing the stud on there with a 4th bolt, anyone replace the other 3 bolts with studs? seems like you'd never have stripped bolt probs and you'd only be dropping the cash down for them once instead of everytime you take off the turbo... same with with o2 housing... this a good or bad idea?

Most people replace the single stud with a bolt to make removing the turbo easier. You shouldn't have to worry about stripping, breaking, or fubaring them as long as you plan it right when you take out your turbo. Make sure to go through a few heat cycles as well as hose them down with PB Blaster. I can't say I've ever heard of anyone (except tubular manifold owners) replacing the bolts for an all stud setup.

how does the dealership get away with selling those bolts for so much? i appreciate the help and i ordered the set of bolts and washers from JNZ, guess if they strip after i need to take off the turbo again ill be moving to the all stud setup and see if it works...

I have no idea how they get away with charging an arm, a leg, and sometimes your first born child WTF It is insane, but that's why I'm thankful to have supporting vendors who understand us!

simply put they are satan...you can find all 4 bolts for half of what satan wants for them...come to think of it the parts guy at the local mitsu dealer looks like what we picture satan to look like
