coolent leak

there is a large amount of coolent leaking from what appearers to be my heater hose, but there isn't a crack in the heater hose....would the prestone leak sealer help?

heater core or loose fitting.

remove the hose, and check for gunk under the hose that would allow the coolant to slip by the clamp.

Prestone leak sealer won't help for hoses (and it's not permanent anyway). Check clamp for tightness. Replace hose (cheap) if old or suspect. If can't tell where exact leak is, have cooling system pressurized (with engine off) and you will see leak.

your cooling systemis slightly pressurized at normal operating temp. you might have small cracks / holes in the hoses that are only visible under pressure. Just replace them. they aint that pricey!
