Hey guys,

My hard line, to rubber hose, to hard coolant line is leaking where the rubber hose meets back up with the metal hard line. Both ends of the rubber hose have the metal clamps on it, but im guessing its not strong enough to stop the pressure from the hot coolant flowing through the system.

I had my thermostat replaced when this line busted the first time, but its been a week and its leaking again! Why is this leaking again? I was thinking of using some zip ties where the rubber and metal parts meet as well as some liquid sealant, but not sure if that'll do the trick.

Any recommendations? The rubber hose is about 6'' long and feeds what appears to be the turbo coolant line (runs behind the turbo and infront of the manifold).

i have the metal clamps on there already that, as you squeeze them together, they get looser. But i don't think those are tight enough. I have some exhaust sealant thats high temperature resiliant. Would that work?

Curious though, why is there so much pressure comming through this line? The problem is comming from some where.

I'd try some worm clamps, you can actually tighten them. As for the problem, I'm not sure. Headgasket letting pressure into your coolant system?OMG Dunno for sure.

I would just find a local hydraulic shop and have them make you some steel braided lines for the coolant. The only reason i'm not running coolant to my turbo is because the rubber lines always get weak from heat and break leaving you with an overheated and coolant leaking car at the worst possible time ( for me it was always on my way to meet a home owner or contractor about work)

I had a set built for my friends car about 6-7 years ago and they are still perfect. I keep waiting on him so i can take them to the hydraulic shop and dupolicate a set for my car since i can't remmeber the thread sizes on the water tube on the motor.

thats a really good idea actually. Hydrolic shop you say?

Does anyone know what size i would need to make this thread?
