Coolant crossover pipe fitting

This fitting is kind of mangled, and I would really like to replace it, anybody know what size it is? ie. thread type, pitch, diamater, and barb size. The pipe I had before was even worse off as someone attempted to weld on a fitting and it leaked. This is the one that was on the shortblock I picked up for my rebuild, I got lucky with it being the exact pipe I needed.

Looks like a chunk of pipe and flare nut.

Get the mangled piece out, and take the pipe to the parts store and ask to look at the steel line selection and find the flare nut you need.

Oreilly's carries SAE, Euro metric and Japaneese metric steel line with flare nuts
 
That port you're referring to is not for a "crossover pipe", it's for a coolant pipe to the turbo. Are you trying to block that off or put a new coolant pipe in? If you're interested in blocking it off, it's M16x1.5 with inverted flare at the bottom. However, if you thread an M16x1.5 bolt in there and tighten it down, usually the bottom of the bolt will press into the inverted flare bottom and it will seal.
 
I know the port isn't a crossover pipe, I referred to it as a fitting ON the crossover pipe. Anyway, mis-communciations aside, no I am not trying to block it off, I need it for the water line to the turbo...I just don't trust what little bit of pipe is left to hold a hose, especially since I would have to cut it because it is crushed at the end. That would be the correct fitting from what I understand? Also, is it a safe assumption that it wouldn't be too much heat from the turbo to use an AN SS braided water line, since the oil feeds are all AN lines. Although I'm also wondering here, wouldn't an OEM 14b water line bolt right up to a td05 20g? From what I understand 16g's are direct swap for 1st gens with the 14bs, J pipe, water lines and all, with no tweaking involved. And a hybrid td05 20g from what I understand, has identical fitment as well?
 
Ah, I see, my apologies. That fitting in the link you provided might not work. I guess it's one of those funky inverted-flare-with-o-ring deals that are used with power steering lines. The problem is the distance between where the threads end and flare begins is kinda long. That might make it awkward, not sure. Another fitting that will work is a "regular" M16x1.5 (without the inverted flare) and use a crush washer between the hex portion of the fitting and the face of the port (it can be counted on to seal because it's a nice, flat machined surface).

Stainless braided in that area should be fine as well.
 
If you're going to use a TD05H cartridge turbo (14b, 16g) I would just buy the proper line:

MD117764 PIPE, T/C WATER RETURN

Also make sure to use a flared wrench to take that broken line off the pipe.
 
That 2nd link you gave looks about right, but that's a pricey fitting. This was what I was referring to:

That fitting plus a 16mm copper crush washer would work as well. They'll both work but I suppose the inverted flare fitting is more correct since it duplicates the original.

I can't get that link to work. I must have lost the ability. Anyway, you can look it up at Summit or the like, it's -6AN male to M16x1.5 male.
 
Paul is 100% correct. I used a 16x1.5 to a -6an fitting that used a crusher washer. Not a single leak.

Add me to that list also. Been leak free for 6 months and counting (daily driven)

I used SS ptfe line. And a banjo bolt to 6 an to connect to the turbo. Makes removal/installation so much easier. Never worried about kinking lines.
