Ok after a long day of working on the car again. I found out what the problem was and fixed it. First I checked the thermostat. It was a new one to begin with and was working properly but just to make sure it wasn't that I got another one. This time I leveled up and bought a premuim grade one. Put the new thermostat in and fired her up. Warmmed up then went to redzone again. Well the thermostat wasn't the culprit. Ok tore down the entire timing belt side to get to the damn waterpump. That wasn't fun. Popped the waterpump out and finally! Waterpump came out and the shaft was broken so it spun freely. Ok bought a brand new waterpump and in it went. Put everything back together, how fun, drove it around and everything is now fixed. I guess the waterpump broke when it was started with frozen water coolant.

Sounds good....thats what i figured.....not very often that it happens like that but ive seen it......hope it all works out.....later....

As a rule remove your water pump belt before starting a frozen engine. The engine warming up without the water pump will help thaw the frozen water. Just do it in 2 or 3 minute increments so as not to cook something. Do this several times over the course of a day and that should prevent these maladies.

However looks like you got it running none the less for wear and tear.

Good Luck

Thank you for stating what the problem was and how you fixed it.

I'm glad everything is now back to normal. Hopefully you re did timing correctly and all your tensions are w/in spec.
