Unused Coolant Ports

Any pros or cons about closing off the unused coolant ports on the head that dont pass thru the HG?

Don't see why it would be needed since the head gasket closes them off, unless it's only to reduce potential low spots where gunk and corrosion can collect.

You aren't talking about the two closest to the timing belt when using a g64b block are you?

I know about the two holes I have to block off up front when using the front water outlet. Im not talking about those. Im talking about the long oval shaped ones around each cylinder that is blocked by the headgasket. Friend had one leak there on his into the chamber. Figured while Im having the two front ones closed off I might as well close the other ones too.
