is there a way to connect a laptop to my 97 eclipse, and be able to read it on my laptop while i drive it.. whats do i need ? software , cable

Its called ON board Diagnostics and you have to buy a cable that connects to the OBD-II connector under the dash

PocketLogger imo. Out the door for under $300 and you don't have to carry around the laptop. Plus I hear Mike is working on a new version of the software with larger display features so it's easier to read. We'll see...
 
Make sure to buy something that will work with your n/t as well. I know there are a few PDA type scanners/loggers that work for the 4g63 but will not work or not work as well for the 420A.
