I 've tried searching before I post this issue ...I bought a stage 2 cylinder head from strictly import motorsports with 280 cams , after the was installed I get code p0300 random miss fire I have no other mods will the camshaft cause this ?

Compression misfire, fuel misfire, or ignition misfire: You need to track down which one. The only way I could see this having to do with the cam is if it's related to the cam sensor. It could be a head gasket issue.

If you've got some valves which aren't sealing you will get a misfire. Could be a multitude of things. Cracked spark plug, bad ignition wire, maybe crossed plug wires, bent valve, lifter wasn't bled down fully (hanging valve open), installed heights on the valves could be too high, bad injector, loose injector plug, lean condition, rich condition, the list goes on.
