I'm putting my new head back on my car right now and my questions is as follows:

After everything is back together, do I just turn the key? Or...should I crank the engine over a few times first to get the oil pumping. I guess what I'm ultimately suggestion is that it seems like I should get oil running through the engine before I actually run the car. I hope somebody understands what my concern is and hopefully can answer it.

Thanks,
Jim

He means start with everything at tdc and turn the crank until you are back the exact same way you started. Be sure to turn it clockwise and check all your timing marks again then. Then pull the mpi fuse and crank it till the oil light goes off to insure there is proper oil pressure. The put the fuse back in and start it up. Good luck.
