I bought a 99 OZ Rally Eclipse that needed transmission. Got one from a friend. I drove the car it came out and shifted fine. Now it pops out of 3rd, 4th, and 5th. What could cause that. Also throwout bearing is now bad. Going to replace it. Was wonder if a Bahnhof Stage 1 clutch would be good or just pointless in stock Non turbo.

Possible end nut come off of the mainshaft of the trans? The end cover is pretty easy to get to and pull off to look. You will loose all of the fluid so it would be a last thing to check but mine was off on 5th gear and tore up some stuff but the main shaft nut was on good. Could be the other way around on yours letting the main gearset move back and forth. Twicks69 could give a good idea on this for sure. Might PM him if he doesn't chime in.

Sounds like the shaft bearings are smoked, which is relatively common on the T350 f5mc1 trans with high mileage.

You should be looking at repairing your transmission first, then a clutch upgrade afterwards. As well, I do specialize in modular clutches for this application as well.

Could it be bad motor mounts or in the shifter cables or am I looking at the trans itself. Im pretty positive the Throwout bearing is bad.

Could be bad syncros what kind of fluid did you put in, atf4 only in those trannys, tob won't cause tranny to throw out of gear, my NT cars tranny did this 3,4 would pop out a week later the diff exploded, pull shaft cover and inspect, drain fluid look for shaving bits or chuncks
