So my clutch is slipping at 5k miles.. (fidanza 3.2). I think its because i didnt properly adjust the rod initially and it drug for awhile. Anyways, at the time i bought a new Fidanza Flywheel and OEM TOB. My plan is to take the one i have now out and send it in to Fidanza, meanwhile putting in a new Fidanza 3.2. My question is do i need to get my flywheel resurfaced even though it only has 5k on it? and Do i need a new TOB bearing? Im really tight on money now, so your input is appreciated.

You really dont NEED to,but for the best results and longevity of your disc its always better to resurface and let the new clutch start out on a flat surface. You will end up doing it again costing you even more money when you might not have it. You can reuse your throw out bearing if there is nothing wrong with it.

What are the chances of the flywheel being uneven? and arent Fidanza Flywheels easy to resurface? cant you just buy a new surface/

you should always give a new clutch a nice surface to wear on, but i have seen people just knock the glaze off the flywheel with a wizz wheel and the clutch worked fine. i would spend the $35 and get it cut because if it was slipping your flywheel is gona have heat marks and glaze on it, also it would suck if you did all that work and then the car doesnt shift at high rpms cause its dragging or continues to slip even with a new clutch

Yes you can buy a new surface plate that bolts on.

i had the same problem with my fidanza setup i just adjusted the rod.. it worked perfect but if it was dragging for 5000 miles i mean that's kind of a lot don't you think so? i would get it resurfaced to be on the safe side.. that's on you though

Can i reuse my tranny fluid if i just changed it in september?
