Ok im about to give up on dsms. Today we got like a tone of snow so I desided to have a little fun. Well after my fun I went home stopped at the gas station to get a soda. Backed out and it shook real bad in reverse. I was like that isnt right so i put it in first and took off. car died in gear and just rolled. Started her back up when to go in reverse because some moron was blocking the path in a no parking zone. As i let the clutch out i had no gears. So I tried first gear ans nothing. I literaly have no gears. Clutch has less then 2k miles on it. Its a F1 racing stage 3 racing clutch and a fidanza flywheel.

When I start the car you can hear a rattle in the trans. My TOB has been knocking in neutral for some time now. What are the possibilitys its the trans? Im thinking/hopping its just the cheap ass clutch. I did properly break in the clutch. I drove it like a granny for about 1k miles
 
Imo the f1 is junk... thats why i dnt buy off ebay... Anyways, i would check the clutch fork. Then check to make sure that the slave is working properly. just have someone push the clutch and watch to see if its moving.
 
I have a F1 6 puck ceramic in my 83 Mazda Rx7 its been in for about a year now and over 20K miles on it. Zero problems with it. Works like a dream. But it does sound like a clutch. Is it a sprung or unsprung hub?
 
Slave is working we already checked that. Master isnt leaking either. Can I check the fork with trans is still in? I have a brand new fork and pivot ball just never installed it. Yes I know ebay is junk but I had a buld plan of 4 months for this car and them out the blue my boss said he wants the garage back at works so i had 2 days to do a 6 bolt swap and get the car running. I did what I had to do and now Im paying for it

Unsprung.


Also my pedal seems looser now as well. It was noticably stiffer before this happened

I knkw nothing about drivetrains so can check the clutch fork while trans is still in the car?

I have a 1995 eclipse gst. Every time I shift into 3rd gear the rpm drops to about 2-3k and doesn't accelerate. All the other gears don't have this problem. The car is stock. My friend said I just need a new clutch and another said the tranny is bad. Any ideas?
 
You brought back a thread that was unnecessary to do so.

Either way, its going to be a transmission or a clutch issue, your description is a bit vague. Pull the transmission and inspect the clutch assembly.
