1G Clutch slipping issue?

My friend is having an issue with his talon, where the car warms up the clutch slips so bad it is undriveable, we put a new clutch in and it is the same issue. Flywheel was resurfaced, pivot ball shimmed, even with the slave cylinder off it is the same story. Any ideas on whaat to look for?
 
What is flywheel step?
I will check it when i pull the transmission back off but it was within spec, the first clutch was fine for around 5-600 miles but then all of a sudden it started slipping, we thought it might of been glazed so we replaced it.
 
What is "in spec"? Did you actually measure it?
Are you using an extended slave rod?
Any oil leaks?
Slipping almost has to be one of the following
Contamination or incomplete engagement caused by..
1. Improper step height causing incomplete engagement
2. Something in hydraulics causing incomplete engagement, overadjuated master etc.
3. Extended slave rods preloading the clutch causing incomplete engagement.

If you can push the slave back into its bore by hand you can rule out hydraulics which leaves step height and flatness. Both easily checked with proper tools. I can't think of much else.

The machine shop measured it when they resurfaced it, when i pull the trans again ill check it. No extended slave rod. I remember around the rear main seal there was nothing that showed oil even seeping ill definitely recheck that and i did not see anything in the trans also.

Ill check pushing on the slave but i disconnected it from the trans to definitely rule that out. The only thing that makes sense at this point would be the step height unless i see any oil leaks when i pull it back off.
