Clutch slip in 1st gear

I have a new Centerforce Dual friction clutch. I broke it in propertly with the 500 mile regular driving and it now has about 2000 miles on it. I had my flywheel resurfaced but I didnt check the height . The clutch seems fine expect in first gear when im full throttle. It fells like its slipping and I hear no tire screech. So its is even possible for a clutch to only slip in first or am I just imagining things? I also think my trannys starting to get a little f-ed up in the synco area, so I plan on eventually putting in a rebuilt tranny and resurfacing the flywheel(and checking for the proper step height) while I have it out.

I think your flywheel step height is off. 1st gear has the most torque so if you punch it in 1st it will slip, but shouldn't slip if everything was good to go. Check your flywheel and clutch kit.

That was my guess aswell. But is it only be off a little since it only slips in first?

Yes. That is what happens when they machine the flywheel but not the pressure plate mounting blocks.

they were both machine. I think the flywheel itself was just getting a little wore out so more should been taken of the step.
